Museum of Truckee History Endowment Fund

Why an Endowment?

The Museum of Truckee History, or MoTH, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to build, operate and maintain a permanent museum to preserve and protect Truckee History. Monies deposited in the restricted endowment fund will not be distributed. The income generated by the fund’s principal, primarily interest and dividends, will be used to pay expenses.

Contribution Options

Contributions to the Fund can be made in various ways including:

• Cash
• Publicly traded securities
• Life insurance benefits
• Charitable remainder trusts
• Bequests
• Qualified charitable distributions (QCD) from an IRA retirement account

Donors are encouraged to consult their financial and legal advisors for possible tax benefits.
